Mountain Hardwear
20 degree Sleeping bag
Currently Unavailable on Amazon
I do a lot of car camping and short backpacking trips (1-2 nights). When I bought my bag I was very new to camping and the outdoors, was barely making enough money to pay rent and didn't have a ton of disposable income to spend on a bag. I wasn't looking for the best in terms of features, I was looking for something that was at a good price point and would get me by. I'm not sure Mountain Hardwear even makes the bag I use anymore, but that goes to show that a $120 bag can get you by for a long time. If you're just going for some car camping bring a few blankets along as well. There's no shame in going a little cushy. It makes for a better nights sleep and you'll be more rested for whatever you're looking to tackle the next day.
