James A. Ferrin is president of Ferrin Capital Advisors, Inc., the wealth management firm he founded more than 20 years ago in 1993. With more than 30 years of experience, Jim has extensive background and knowledge in key areas of financial planning. Jim earned a BS degree in Finance from BYU (1981) and has been a Certified Financial Planner® Practitioner since 1984. Jim has formerly served as a board member of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce and he served three terms as a member of the Utah State House of Representatives. But, his real business passion is helping clients to navigate their way toward their own financial goals and dreams. Jim and his wife Margo live in Lindon, Utah and they are the proud parents of five children.
James (JT) Ferrin is our Business Development Manager. He joined us in December 2012 and is responsible for organizing our client communications and our client events, workshops, seminars, etc. JT is running our firm’s Growth Initiative to build new client relationships. He has a degree in Japanese from BYU. In addition to Japanese, JT also speaks Spanish and Portuguese. He enjoys cycling, skiing, wakeboarding, and spending time with family and friends. He and his wife live in Saratoga Springs.
Lindsay Cook is our client services director. Lindsay has been with us for over 11 years. She is a University of Phoenix graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a Concentration in Finance. Lindsay balances her time between the office and her family. She is a supportive wife and the mother of two beautiful children, ages 3 and 6. Lindsay enjoys serving others and spending time being active outdoors with those she loves.
Sydney Gardner is our Front Line Administrative Assistant. Sydney has been with us since October of 2012. She graduated from UVU in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Modern Dance Performance. Sydney is enjoying learning the financial services industry and looks forward to building upon the knowledge she has gained. She spends her evenings teaching dance and finds joy in seeing her students learn and progress. Sydney loves being outside, serving others, spending time with her husband and family, and making others smile.
